We were recently joined by representatives from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue, along with our Warm Hub partners, WRCC and Cadent Gas, to campaign for increased awareness of home safety. Residents benefitted from Shotteswell Warm Hub’s initiative, having their chimneys swept by local professional Paul Braggins.
Group Commander Scott Moultrie, Councillors Chris Mills (WCC Kineton & Red Horse) and Andy Crump (WCC Portfolio Holder for Fire & Rescue) also attended. The crew from Gaydon Fire Station can be seen carrying out a full Safe and Well Check and fitting a smoke alarm, plus a carbon monoxide alarm supplied by Cadent.
Getting your chimney swept and carrying out safety checks ready for the winter months may be the last thing on many people’s minds but it’s never too early to keep your household safe!
